Some moths from our trip to Madagascar
I took a battery powered LED lamp and a white sheet to Northern Madagascar in August 2026. Here are some of the moths I encountered. Many are oddly similar to European species.
The largest moth prize goes to the Madagascan bullseye silkmoth (right).
And some non-moths, like this lovely green leaf-hopper (left) and the rhinoceros beetle (right).
